Target Information

Cas9 is an RNA-guided DNA endonuclease enzyme associated with the CRISPR adaptive immunity system in bacteria and is widely used in genetic engineering.
Cas9 enables targeted genome editing, including indel mutations, sequence insertions, deletions, and rearrangements.
Variants such as Streptococcus pyogenes Cas9 (SpCas9) and Staphylococcus aureus Cas9 (SaCas9) differ in size and PAM recognition sequences.
SaCas9 recognizes NNGRRT PAM, exhibits high efficiency and specificity, and is suitable for compact delivery systems, such as AAV vectors.
