Target Information
Membrane-associated guanylate kinase with inverted orientation (MAGI3) is a 130 kDa guanylate kinase belonging to a family of multi-PDZ domain-containing guanylate kinases localized to epithelial cell tight junctions.
MAGI3 cooperates with PTEN/MMAC to modulate AKT/protein kinase B (PKB) activity and positions PTEN/MMAC phosphatase to subcellular locations regulating cell proliferation and survival.
MAGI3 contains an N-terminal guanylate kinase domain, a WW domain (two conserved tryptophan residues), and five PDZ domains.
