Target Information
The phosphorylation and dephosphorylation of proteins on serine and threonine residues is a key mechanism regulating many eukaryotic cellular functions including cell division, homeostasis, and apoptosis. ULK4 (unc-51-like kinase 4) is a 1,275 amino acid protein containing one protein kinase domain and one HEAT repeat, belonging to the Ser/Thr protein kinase family. Although its catalytic domain may be inactive, ULK4 is thought to play a role in ATP-dependent phosphorylation of target proteins.
