Description:
This MR54 monoclonal antibody reacts with human Trop-2 (Tumor-Associated Calcium Signal Transducer 2, TACSTD2, EGP-1). Trop-2 is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein expressed on trophoblasts, epithelial cells, and most human carcinoma cells. It plays a role in calcium-mediated signaling and has been reported as an oncogene correlated with tumorigenesis, metastasis, and anchorage-independent growth.

Applications Reported:
This MR54 antibody is reported for use in flow cytometric analysis.

Applications Tested:
Pre-titrated and tested by flow cytometric analysis of MCF7 cells. Recommended usage: 5 µL (0.125 µg) per test (100 µL final volume). Applicable cell number: 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test.

Target Information

TROP2 is a carcinoma-associated antigen defined by the monoclonal antibody GA733. It is a type I membrane protein that transduces intracellular calcium signals and functions as a cell surface receptor. Mutations in its gene cause gelatinous drop-like corneal dystrophy, an autosomal recessive disorder leading to corneal amyloidosis and blindness.
