Hepatocyte nuclear factor 4 alpha (HNF4A)는 orphan nuclear receptor로, 간, 신장, 장, 췌장에서 발현됩니다. 인간의 HNF4A 변이는 성인형 당뇨병(MODY1)과 관련이 있으며, DNA에 homodimer 형태로 결합합니다. HNF4A 유전자는 대체 스플라이싱되어 HNF4A1부터 HNF4A9까지 여러 아이소폼을 생성할 수 있습니다.
