Target Information
TCP-1 (t complex polypeptide 1)은 진핵 세포질 내에 존재하는 이형 올리고머 복합체 CCT(chaperonin containing TCP-1)의 서브유닛 중 하나입니다.
CCT는 8개의 서로 다른 서브유닛(TCP-1 α, β, γ, δ, ε, ζ, η, θ)으로 구성되어 있으며 각각 다른 유전자로 암호화됩니다.
TCP-1 ζ 서브유닛은 두 가지 형태(TCP-1 ζ1, TCP-1 ζ2)로 알려져 있습니다.
이 단백질은 Actin과 Tubulin의 접힘 과정에서 독립적인 기능을 수행하며, 세포질 단백질의 올바른 접힘에 중요한 역할을 합니다.
TCP-1은 처음 생쥐에서 배아 치명적 표현형과 관련되어 발견되었으며, 효모에서도 분자 샤페론으로 작용하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다.
