Target Information
The protein encoded by NR0B2 is an orphan nuclear receptor containing a ligand-binding domain but lacking a conventional DNA-binding domain. It interacts with retinoid, thyroid, and estrogen receptors, inhibiting their ligand-dependent transcriptional activation. The protein represses nuclear hormone receptor-mediated transactivation through competition with coactivators and direct transcriptional repressor activity.
