Target Information
OPA1는 미토콘드리아 형태와 mtDNA 유지에 중요한 dynamin-related GTPase입니다. OPA1 유전자 돌연변이는 주로 이형접합 시신경 위축(heterozygous optic atrophy)과 관련이 있으며, 이는 시력 저하 및 실명을 유발할 수 있습니다. 이러한 현상은 시신경 섬유의 퇴화로 인한 것으로 알려져 있으며, 일부 정신분열증의 신경 퇴화 특성과도 연관이 있는 것으로 보고됩니다. OPA1의 기능 이상은 세포자멸사(apoptosis) 및 세포 대사 조절 이상과 관련이 있습니다.
