Product Specific Information

The monoclonal antibody ME20.4 recognizes CD271, a 75 kDa type I transmembrane protein belonging to the low-affinity neurotrophin receptor and TNF receptor superfamily. CD271 is expressed by neurons, Schwann cells, melanocytes, mesenchymal stem/stromal cells, neural crest stem cells, astrocytes, oligodendrocytes, and certain lymphoid cells including follicular dendritic cells. It binds to NGF, BDNF, NTF3, and NTF4, and contains a death domain that induces apoptosis and regulates cell growth via interactions with TRAF2, TRAF4, TRAF6, PTPN13, and RANBP9.

The ME20.4 antibody recognizes CD271 from human, non-human primate, mouse, rat, sheep, rabbit, cat, dog, and pig species.

Applications Reported: Flow cytometry, western blotting, microscopy
Applications Tested: Pre-titrated for flow cytometry using stimulated HEK-293T cells at 5 µL (0.25 µg) per test.
A test is defined as the antibody amount required to stain a cell sample in 100 µL final volume. Cell numbers may range from 10⁵ to 10⁸ cells/test.

Super Bright 436 is excited by the violet laser (405 nm) and emits at 436 nm. Recommended detection filter: 450/50 bandpass or equivalent. Ensure instrument compatibility.

When using multiple Super Bright dye-conjugated antibodies, use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (Product # SB-4401) to minimize non-specific polymer interactions.
