Target Information
STAT5 alpha는 STAT 전사인자 패밀리에 속하는 단백질로, 사이토카인과 성장인자 자극에 의해 수용체 관련 키나아제에 의해 인산화됩니다. 인산화된 STAT5α는 호모 또는 헤테로다이머를 형성하여 핵으로 이동하고 전사 활성 인자로 작용합니다.
STAT5α는 IL2, IL3, IL7, GM-CSF, erythropoietin, thrombopoietin 등 다양한 리간드에 의해 활성화되며, 종양 발생과 관련된 TEL/JAK2 융합 유전자에 의해 자극 독립적으로 활성화될 수 있습니다.
또한, STAT5α는 BCL2L1/BCL-X(L) 발현을 유도하여 세포의 항아폽토시스 기능에 기여하며, STAT5β와 함께 다양한 생리학적 기능(생식, 수유, 면역 기능, 성장)에 관여합니다.
