Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
Retinoic acid, a metabolite of vitamin A, is essential for normal organogenesis but acts as a teratogen at high levels during embryonic development.
It functions via the retinoic acid receptor (RAR), a nuclear protein belonging to the steroid and thyroid hormone superfamily.
RAR regulates gene expression by binding to specific DNA response elements and exists in three subtypes: alpha, beta, and gamma.
RAR gamma-1 is predominantly expressed in skin, while RAR gamma-2 is found during early embryogenesis and in embryonal carcinoma cells.
RAR gamma is also known as RARD; its corresponding gene is NR1B3.
