Target Information
포유류 미토콘드리아 리보솜 단백질은 핵 유전자에 의해 암호화되며, 미토콘드리아 내 단백질 합성에 관여합니다. 미토콘드리아 리보솜(mitoribosome)은 28S 소단위와 39S 대단위로 구성되며, 단백질 대 rRNA 비율이 약 75%로, 원핵 리보솜과 반대입니다. 또한 원핵 리보솜에는 5S rRNA가 존재하지만, 포유류 미토콘드리아 리보솜에는 없습니다. 종 간에 미토리보솜 단백질의 서열과 생화학적 특성이 크게 다르며, 이는 서열 상동성으로 인한 인식이 어렵게 합니다. 이 유전자는 39S 소단위 단백질을 암호화하며, 여러 전사 변이체가 확인되었습니다.
