• Immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed):
  Incubate antibody for 30 min at room temperature.
  For formalin-fixed tissues, heat tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA (pH 9.0) for 45 min at 95°C, then cool at room temperature for 20 min.
• Inhibits homotypic aggregation, adhesion to matrix proteins, and migration through Matrigel.

CD147 is a 50–60 kDa glycoprotein with multiple glycosylated forms. It is a plasma membrane protein important in spermatogenesis, embryo implantation, neural network formation, and tumor progression.
As a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily, CD147 is highly expressed on metabolically active cells such as lymphoblasts, inflammatory cells, brown adipocytes, and malignant tumor cells.
It facilitates cell surface expression of monocarboxylate transporter proteins and extracellular matrix metalloproteinases, regulates integrin functions, and plays roles in cell development, activation, fetal development, and retinal function.
