• Immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): Incubate antibody for 30 minutes at room temperature.
• For formalin-fixed tissues: Heat tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA, pH 9.0, for 45 minutes at 95°C, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.

Target Information

CD147 (also known as basigin, neurothelin, OX-47, 5A11, CE9, M6, EMMPRIN, extracellular matrix metalloproteinase inducer, TCSF, tumour cell-derived collagenase-stimulatory factor) is a 50–60 kDa glycoprotein with multiple glycosylated forms.
It is a plasma membrane protein important in spermatogenesis, embryo implantation, neural network formation, and tumor progression, and belongs to the immunoglobulin superfamily.
CD147 is highly expressed on metabolically active cells such as lymphoblasts, inflammatory cells, brown adipocytes, and malignant tumor cells.
It facilitates the cell surface expression of monocarboxylate transporter proteins and extracellular matrix metalloproteinases, regulates integrin functions, and plays roles in cell development, activation, fetal development, and retinal function.
