TDRD3는 RNA 대사에 관여하는 단백질군인 Tudor domain 단백질 그룹에 속합니다. 세포질에서 주로 발현되며, 심장, 뇌, 태반, 폐, 간, 골격근, 신장 및 췌장에서 검출됩니다. 세포 내 TDRD3 과발현은 스트레스 과립 형성을 유도합니다. 대체 스플라이싱 변형으로 여러 이소폼이 존재하며, 인간의 경우 13번 염색체에 위치합니다.
