FEN-1 (Flap Endonuclease and Five prime Exonuclease)는 분기된 DNA 구조의 단일가닥 5′ 플랩을 절단하거나, DNA nick 및 gap 부위에서 exonuclease로 작용하는 42 kDa 단백질입니다. 핵 내에서 PCNA(proliferating cell nuclear antigen)와 결합 시 활성이 증가하며, DNA 복제 및 수선에 중요한 역할을 수행합니다. 세포 유리 DNA 복제 시스템에서도 필수적인 인자로 알려져 있습니다.
