Target Information
CDC42BPB is a serine/threonine kinase involved in actin cytoskeleton assembly and organization.
Myotonic dystrophy kinase-related Cdc42-binding (DMPK-like) kinases—MRCK-alpha and MRCK-beta—contain a cysteine-rich motif and a pleckstrin homology domain.
MRCKs phosphorylate nonmuscle myosin light chain, influencing actin-myosin contractility.
MRCK-alpha can phosphorylate and activate LIM kinases downstream of Cdc42, leading to ADF/Cofilin inactivation and actin cytoskeletal reorganization.
Additionally, MRCK-alpha modulates neurite outgrowth promoted by Cdc42 and Rac.
