Target Information
The RFX3 gene belongs to the regulatory factor X family, encoding transcription factors with a conserved winged helix DNA-binding domain. The protein acts as a transcriptional activator, binding DNA as a monomer or heterodimer with other RFX family members. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been described, with at least one variant utilizing alternative polyadenylation signals.
