Target Information
This gene encodes a histone methyltransferase that catalyzes the transfer of a methyl group from S-adenosyl-L-methionine to histone L-lysine, producing S-adenosyl-L-homocysteine and histone N(6)-methyl-L-lysine. The enzyme is implicated in transcriptional repression, and alternatively spliced transcript variants have been identified.
