This antibody detects endogenous levels of total GTSE1.
Target Information
The GTSE1 protein is expressed only in the S and G2 phases of the cell cycle, where it colocalizes with cytoplasmic tubulin and microtubules. In response to DNA damage, it accumulates in the nucleus and binds to the tumor suppressor protein p53, exporting it from the nucleus and repressing its ability to induce apoptosis.
