Target Information
CSTF2 (Cleavage Stimulation Factor, 3′ pre-RNA, subunit 2, 64 kDa) is one of three cleavage stimulation factors (CSTF1, CSTF2, CSTF3) that form the CSTF complex, which participates in polyadenylation and 3′ end cleavage of pre-mRNAs. CSTF2 contains a ribonucleoprotein-type RNA binding domain and is upregulated during B cell activation, facilitating the switch of IgM heavy chain mRNA from membrane-bound to secreted form.
