Target Information
The CSTF3 gene encodes one of three cleavage stimulation factors (CSTF1, CSTF2, and CSTF3) that form the CSTF complex. This complex is involved in polyadenylation and 3′ end cleavage of pre-mRNAs. The CSTF3 protein functions as a homodimer and interacts with both CSTF1 and CSTF2 within the complex. Alternative splicing produces multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms.
