Target Information
Transglutaminase (TGase)는 Ca²⁺ 결합을 필요로 하는 단백질 교차결합 효소로, e-(γ-glutamyl) lysine isopeptide 결합을 형성합니다.
포유류에서 8가지 TGase 동종효소가 알려져 있으며, Tissue transglutaminase (tTGase, TGase 2)는 N-terminal β-sandwich, catalytic core, 두 개의 C-terminal β-barrel 도메인을 가집니다.
tTGase는 세포사, 증식, 분화, 수용체 매개 내포작용에 관여하며, 알츠하이머병 뇌에서는 Ab peptide, β-amyloid precursor protein, tau 단백질의 중합을 통해 신경섬유 엉킴(neurofibrillary tangles) 형성과 관련이 있습니다.
