Product Specific Information

Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems developed by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select optimal candidates for production.
Advantages include superior specificity and sensitivity, lot-to-lot consistency, and broader immunoreactivity due to the rabbit immune repertoire.

Alexa Fluor™ Plus antibodies provide brighter signals and improved signal-to-noise ratios compared to previous Alexa Fluor conjugates, enabling superior imaging performance. These antibodies use proprietary dye chemistry for enhanced fluorescence.

Usage Note:
Centrifuge the conjugate solution briefly before use and use only the supernatant to minimize aggregates and nonspecific staining. Optimal antibody dilutions should be determined empirically for each application.

Applications Tested:
Validated for immunoblotting, immunocytochemistry, and flow cytometry of DYKDDDDK-tagged proteins.
Recommended to titrate for optimal assay performance.

Target Information

The DYKDDDDK tag (FLAG tag) is an eight–amino acid peptide (Asp-Tyr-Lys-Asp-Asp-Asp-Asp-Lys) widely used for protein purification, detection, and localization. It can be fused to either terminus of a protein to facilitate identification and isolation using anti-FLAG antibodies.
The FLAG tag is hydrophilic, minimizing interference with protein structure and activity.
