Product Specific Information
- Store vial at 4°C prior to restoration.
- For extended storage, aliquot contents and freeze at -20°C or below.
- Avoid cycles of freezing and thawing.
- Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature.
- Stable for several weeks at 4°C as undiluted liquid.

Assay by immunoelectrophoresis resulted in a single precipitin arc against anti-goat serum, purified and partially purified Glycerol-3-Phosphate-Dehydrogenase [Rabbit Muscle].
Cross reactivity against Glycerol-3-Phosphate-Dehydrogenase from other sources is unknown.
Target Information
This gene encodes a member of the NAD-dependent glycerol-3-phosphate dehydrogenase family.
The encoded protein plays a critical role in carbohydrate and lipid metabolism by catalyzing the reversible conversion of dihydroxyacetone phosphate (DHAP) and NADH to glycerol-3-phosphate (G3P) and NAD+.
The cytosolic and mitochondrial forms together form a glycerol phosphate shuttle facilitating transfer of reducing equivalents from cytosol to mitochondria.
Mutations in this gene cause transient infantile hypertriglyceridemia.
Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding multiple isoforms have been observed.
