Target Information
Aldh5A1는 aldehyde dehydrogenase 초과가족에 속하는 NAD(P)(+)-의존 효소로, 다양한 지방족 및 방향족 알데하이드의 산화를 촉매합니다.
이 효소들은 알코올 대사 및 지질 과산화로 생성된 알데하이드의 해독에 중요한 역할을 합니다.
Aldh5A1은 미토콘드리아 NAD(+)-의존성 succinic semialdehyde dehydrogenase이며, 이 효소의 결핍(4-hydroxybutyricaciduria)은 GABA 대사 장애를 유발합니다.
증상은 발달 지연, 근긴장 저하, 운동실조, 언어 장애, 발작 등을 포함할 수 있습니다.
Aldh5A1은 최소 두 가지 isoform이 존재합니다.
