Target Information
BMP6는 Bone Morphogenetic Protein(BMP) 계열의 하나로, 뼈 형성을 유도할 수 있는 분비 신호 분자입니다. BMP 계열은 Transforming Growth Factor-beta (TGF-β) superfamily에 속하며, 탈무기화된 뼈 추출물이 체외에서 연골내 골형성을 유도할 수 있다는 점에서 처음 확인되었습니다. BMP6는 배아 발생 초기 발현 양상으로 보아 초기 발달 과정에서의 역할이 제안되며, BMP5 및 BMP7과의 높은 유사성으로 인해 골 유도 활성이 있을 것으로 추정됩니다.
