Target Information
The S100A11 protein is a member of the S100 family of calcium-binding proteins with two EF-hand motifs. These proteins are found in the cytoplasm and/or nucleus of various cells and are involved in cellular processes such as cell cycle progression and differentiation. S100 genes form a cluster on chromosome 1q21. S100A11 may play roles in motility, invasion, and tubulin polymerization, and its altered expression is associated with tumor metastasis.
