Target Information
This gene encodes an enzyme with hydroxypyruvate reductase, glyoxylate reductase, and D-glycerate dehydrogenase enzymatic activities. The enzyme has widespread tissue expression and plays a role in metabolism. Mutations in this gene cause Type II hyperoxaluria.
