Target Information
NEDD4L is an E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase that transfers ubiquitin from an E2 conjugating enzyme to targeted substrates. It inhibits TGF-beta signaling by promoting ubiquitination and degradation of SMAD2 and TGFR1. NEDD4L also regulates plasma membrane channels such as ENaC, Nav1.x, Kv1.3, EAAT1, and CLC5, and promotes degradation of SGK.
