• Antibody is tested in direct ELISA.
• For immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): incubate antibody for 30 min at room temperature.
• Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA (pH 9.0) for 45 min at 95°C, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 min.

Target Information

Coagulation factor VII is a vitamin K-dependent factor essential for hemostasis. It circulates in the blood as a zymogen and is activated by factor IXa, Xa, XIIa, or thrombin through minor proteolysis. Upon activation, it forms a heavy chain with a catalytic domain and a light chain with two EGF-like domains, connected by a disulfide bond. In the presence of factor III and calcium ions, the activated factor VII further activates the coagulation cascade by converting factor IX to IXa and/or factor X to Xa. Defects in F7 production can lead to coagulopathy.
