Target Information
KRT82는 케라틴 유전자 패밀리에 속하는 단백질로, type II hair keratin으로서 type I keratin과 이합체를 형성하여 모발과 손톱을 구성합니다. Type II hair keratin은 염색체 12q13 영역에 클러스터되어 있으며, 구조적 유사성에 따라 두 개의 하위 그룹으로 나뉩니다.
KRTHB1, KRTHB3, KRTHB6은 밀접하게 관련된 그룹이며, KRTHB2, KRTHB4, KRTHB5는 상대적으로 덜 관련된 그룹에 속합니다. 모든 hair keratin은 모낭에서 발현되며, KRT82는 모발 큐티클 특이적 케라틴으로 알려져 있습니다.
