Product Specific Information

MA5-17694 targets CD45R in FACS and WB applications and shows reactivity with Human samples.
The MA5-17694 immunogen is rat monoclonal antibody raised against human CD45R.

Target Information

CD45R (PTPRC) is a member of the protein tyrosine phosphatase (PTP) family. PTPs regulate various cellular processes including growth, differentiation, mitotic cycle, and oncogenic transformation.
CD45 contains an extracellular domain, a transmembrane segment, and two tandem intracytoplasmic catalytic domains. It is specifically expressed in hematopoietic cells and regulates T- and B-cell antigen receptor signaling.
CD45 glycoprotein is crucial for lymphocyte development and antigen signaling, serving as an important regulator of Src-family kinases.
Multiple isoforms exist due to alternative splicing, differing in extracellular domains but sharing identical transmembrane and cytoplasmic domains. Expression depends on cell type and physiological state.
CD45 also promotes cell survival via integrin-mediated signaling and participates in DNA fragmentation during apoptosis.
CD45RA, an isoform of CD45, shows restricted expression among lymphoid cell subtypes.
Diseases associated with CD45 dysfunction include Severe Combined Immunodeficiency (T-cell negative, B-cell negative) and Hepatitis C.
