Product Specific Information
- Immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): Incubate antibody for 30 min at room temperature (RT).
- Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA, pH 9.0, for 45 min at 95°C, followed by cooling at RT for 20 min.
Target Information
MCM7 encodes a protein that is one of the highly conserved mini-chromosome maintenance proteins (MCM) essential for the initiation of eukaryotic genome replication.
The hexameric protein complex formed by MCM proteins is a key component of the pre-replication complex (pre_RC) and may be involved in the formation of replication forks and recruitment of other DNA replication-related proteins.
The MCM complex consisting of MCM7 along with MCM2, 4, and 6 possesses DNA helicase activity and may act as a DNA unwinding enzyme.
Cyclin D1-dependent kinase CDK4 associates with MCM7 and may regulate its binding with tumor suppressor protein RB1/RB.
Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been reported.
