- Immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed):
Antibody incubation for 30 minutes at room temperature.
For formalin-fixed tissues, heat sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA (pH 9.0) at 95°C for 45 minutes, then cool at room temperature for 20 minutes.
Target Information
MCM7 encodes a protein that is one of the highly conserved mini-chromosome maintenance proteins (MCM) essential for the initiation of eukaryotic genome replication. The hexameric protein complex formed by the MCM proteins is a key component of the pre-replication complex (pre_RC) and may be involved in replication fork formation and recruitment of other DNA replication-related proteins.
The MCM complex, consisting of MCM2, MCM4, MCM6, and this protein, possesses DNA helicase activity and may act as a DNA unwinding enzyme. Cyclin D1-dependent kinase CDK4 associates with MCM7 and may regulate its interaction with tumor suppressor protein RB1/RB. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been reported.
