This antibody detects endogenous levels of total MNAT1.

Target Information

Progression through the cell cycle requires activation of cyclin-dependent kinases (Cdks). Cdk2, a key enzyme for cell cycle initiation, is inactive as a monomer and requires binding to regulatory cyclins (e.g., cyclin D1) and phosphorylation at Thr160 for full activation. The enzyme responsible for this phosphorylation, Cdk-activating kinase (CAK), consists of a catalytic subunit, a regulatory subunit, and a subunit of unknown function. The regulatory subunit, cyclin H, activates Cdk7. Mat1, a protein associated with the cyclin H–Cdk7 complex, is essential for forming an active Cdk–cyclin complex and participates in phosphorylation of Cdk activation domains and RNA polymerase II.
