Target Information
TPM4 (tropomyosin 4)는 actin 결합 단백질인 tropomyosin 계열에 속하며, 횡문근 및 평활근의 수축 시스템과 비근육 세포의 세포골격에 관여합니다. TPM4는 troponin 복합체와 함께 칼슘 의존적 근육 수축 조절에 중심적인 역할을 합니다. Tropomyosin은 coiled-coil 단백질의 이합체로, 대부분의 actin 필라멘트의 주요 홈을 따라 end-to-end 형태로 중합되어 필라멘트 안정성을 제공하고 다른 actin 결합 단백질의 접근을 조절합니다. 근육 세포에서 TPM4는 myosin head가 actin 필라멘트에 결합하는 과정을 조절하여 근육 수축을 제어합니다. 다양한 isoform을 암호화하는 여러 전사 변이체가 보고되었습니다.
