Target Information
CD19 is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily with two Ig-like domains. It is expressed on 100% of peripheral B cells and also found on certain myeloid leukemia cells. CD19 functions as a signal-amplifying coreceptor for the B cell receptor (BCR), regulating normal and malignant B cell proliferation. Mutations in CD19 can lead to hypogammaglobulinemia, while overexpression causes B cell hyperactivity.
