Target Information
CD21 (complement receptor 2, CR2, C3D receptor, EBV receptor)는 C3 보체 조각, 특히 보체 활성화 표면이나 항원에 결합된 분해 조각들과 결합합니다.
CD21은 면역복합체의 섭취 및 유지, 메모리 B 세포의 생존, T 의존성 항원에 대한 체액성 면역 반응의 발달 및 유지에 중요한 역할을 합니다.
또한 Epstein-Barr 바이러스(EBV)의 주요 수용체로 작용하며, 프리온을 여포 수지상세포로 전달하여 신경 침투를 촉진하는 역할도 합니다.
용해성 형태의 CD21(sCD21)은 림프구 표면에서 분리되어 리간드 결합 능력을 유지합니다.
CD21은 C3d, C3dg, iC3b 보체 성분, EBV, IFNα에 대한 수용체로 기능하며, CD23과 결합하고 CD19, CD81, Leu13과 연관되어 B 세포 활성화에 관여하는 신호전달 복합체를 형성합니다.
CD21 유전자의 변이는 전신홍반루푸스(SLEB9) 감수성과 관련이 있습니다. 다양한 스플라이싱 변이체가 존재합니다.
