Target Information

FLT3 is a tyrosine protein kinase belonging to the growth factor receptor tyrosine kinase family.
Activation occurs upon binding of the fms-related tyrosine kinase 3 ligand to the extracellular domain, inducing homodimer formation and autophosphorylation.
The activated receptor phosphorylates and activates multiple cytoplasmic effector molecules involved in apoptosis, proliferation, and differentiation of hematopoietic cells in bone marrow.
Mutations causing constitutive activation of this receptor lead to acute myeloid and lymphoblastic leukemia.
