Target Information

Anaplastic Lymphoma Receptor Tyrosine Kinase (ALK) belongs to the insulin receptor superfamily and is essential for brain development.
Mutations, rearrangements, and amplifications of the ALK gene are associated with tumors such as anaplastic large cell lymphoma, neuroblastoma, and non-small cell lung cancer.
Chromosomal rearrangement often leads to a fusion gene between ALK and nucleophosmin (NPM), forming the oncogenic NPM-ALK fusion protein.
ALK is a receptor tyrosine kinase with transmembrane and extracellular domains, showing high similarity to LTK. It plays a key role in neuronal development and signaling.
