Target Information
HEPACAM2 (Hepatocyte cell adhesion molecule 2)는 type I N-linked transmembrane glycoprotein으로 면역글로불린 초가족에 속합니다. 정확한 기능은 알려지지 않았지만, 관련 단백질인 HEPACAM은 세포 표면에서 cis-homodimer를 형성하여 세포 접착을 조절하고 세포 증식을 억제함으로써 성장 억제에 관여합니다. HEPACAM과 HEPACAM2 mRNA는 개 종양에서 다르게 조절되며, HEPACAM2 mRNA는 정상 조직에 비해 선종에서 증가하고, 전이성 암종에서는 감소하는 경향을 보입니다. HEPACAM 단백질 수준은 선종에서 감소하므로, HEPACAM2는 종양의 발달 및 진행 과정에서 HEPACAM과 다른 역할을 할 가능성이 있습니다.
