Target Information
Cre recombinase는 P1 bacteriophage 유래의 38 kDa DNA recombinase로, P1 DNA의 34 bp loxP 서열에 특이적으로 결합합니다.
이 효소는 두 개의 34 bp LOXP 부위 간의 부위 특이적 재조합을 촉매하며, 용원 상태에서 파지 게놈을 단일 복제 플라스미드로 유지하는 역할을 합니다.
DNA에 결합할 때는 homotetramer 형태로 존재하며, phage integrase 패밀리에 속합니다.
