Aspergillus nidulans의 never in mitosis A (NIMA) 유전자는 세포 분열 개시를 조절하는 serine/threonine kinase를 암호화합니다.
NIMA-related kinases (NEKs)는 NIMA와 유사한 기능을 수행하는 단백질 kinase 그룹으로, NEK6는 C-terminal NIMA-like catalytic domain을 포함한 NEK 타입 단백질 kinase를 암호화합니다.
