Target Information
CDC42BPA (MRCKA) is a serine/threonine kinase involved in actin cytoskeleton assembly and organization.
Three independent coiled-coil domains and the N-terminal region preceding the kinase domain mediate intermolecular interactions leading to MRCK alpha multimerization.
Transautophosphorylation regulates MRCK alpha catalytic activity.
Binding of phorbol esters releases autoinhibition, enabling N-terminal dimerization and subsequent kinase activation.
