For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments using this carrier-free antibody, perform an additional desalting step (Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

Mammalian mitochondrial ribosomal proteins are encoded by nuclear genes and support protein synthesis within mitochondria. Mitochondrial ribosomes (mitoribosomes) consist of small 28S and large 39S subunits, with a protein-to-rRNA ratio of about 75%. Unlike prokaryotic ribosomes, mammalian mitoribosomes lack a 5S rRNA.
The MRPS11 gene encodes a 28S subunit protein similar to ribosomal protein S11P family members. A pseudogene exists on chromosome 20, and multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
