Target Information
TOB2 is a 344-amino-acid protein belonging to the Tob/BTG1 anti-proliferative family, characterized by BTG/Tob homology domains. It inhibits cell cycle progression from G0/G1 to S phase and interacts with Caf1, a CCR4 complex component. TOB2 plays roles in spermatogenesis, embryonic patterning, osteogenesis, T-cell activation, learning, and memory. It functions mainly as a transcriptional repressor and is ubiquitously expressed in most tissues.
