Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
Jumonji domain-containing protein 2C (JMJD2C) / Lysine-specific demethylase 4C (KDM4C) is a histone demethylase that specifically demethylates Lys-9 and Lys-36 residues of histone H3, playing a central role in the histone code.
KDM4C does not act on H3 Lys-4, H3 Lys-27, or H4 Lys-20. It demethylates trimethylated H3 Lys-9 and H3 Lys-36 residues, but not mono- or dimethylated forms.
Demethylation generates formaldehyde and succinate as byproducts.
