Target Information
Arginine methylation is an irreversible post-translational modification involved in RNA processing, receptor-mediated signaling, and transcription. At least three types of PRMT enzymes have been identified in mammalian cells, which regulate key proteins in nuclear processes, cell cycle, signal transduction, apoptosis, and viral replication. The mammalian PRMT family consists of seven members sharing two conserved domains, with antibodies developed against all PRMT members.
