Target Information
The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the transmembrane 4 superfamily (tetraspanin family). These cell-surface proteins are characterized by four hydrophobic domains and mediate signal transduction involved in cell development, activation, growth, and motility. Alternate polyadenylation sites and two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been described.
